| | Summary: |
| | The modern way of living has caused disappearance of the old technologies
and modes of production. Consequently, there is no longer need for many buildings that
were backbone of economic life in the past. With disappearance of these buildings,
knowledge of the old ways of production is also dissapearing and becomes
forgotten. This research was conducted as a contribution to the knowledge about the
buildings that were reflecting development of agriculture, crafts and industry during the
nineteenth century in northern Vojvodina. The paper deals with modest agricultural
buildings that were fundamental for the economic life before the appearance of
industrial production. Research process included data collection at the Historical
Archives of Subotica, in situ as well as in the available literature, analysis of collected
material, synthesis and integration of obtained informations in the form of this work. |
