	Summary:
	In order to avoid the mistakes during planning, designing, constructing and exploitation of sewerage systems, it is necessary to have the knowledge of all the elements, their functions and ways of working in the system framework as a whole. The use of modern information technology, models of simulation and optimization, significantly facilitates acquiring knowledge of the system elements function and their hydraulic parameters and enables to detect problems in time and eliminates them. This paper presents the application of simulation models for the analysis of sewerage system current state of Vranje town and proposed solution of the future state of sewerage system separate type. The paper points, on the example of the city of Vranje, the importance of the implementation of simulation models for analysis of the sewerage systems, and particularly for analysis of the requirements and feasibility of the expansion /reconstruction of the system.
