MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF AN OPEN CHANNEL LOOPED NETWORK

 Summary:
 This paper presents a one – dimensional numerical model for an open channel looped network. The Preissmann scheme was used for discretization of the de. St. Venant equations. The discretization yields a system of linear algebraic equations that could not be solved using the Thomas algorithm, so the paper presents a modified algorithm for resolving this problem. Finally, an example of a numerical simulation for an open channel looped network is given with an additional analysis of the time weighting coefficient and its influence on the results.
