 Summary:
One of the possible solutions for reducing the environmental impact of concrete industry represents the utilization of the supplementary cementitious materials. For that purpose some of the alternative materials from Serbia, such as biomass ash, fly ash and natural zeolite, are characterizated, their class of pozzolanic activity and activity index are determined and presented in this paper. Based on those results, it can be concluded that this characterized materials can be used as supplementary cementitious materials in the cement composites.
