 Summary:
This paper were analysed effect application of primary support- shotcrete and anchors, to increase the strength factor of rock mass around the tunnel opening. Numerical modeling of tunnel excavation was done using the program Phase2, which based on the finite element method, and which depending on the characteristics of rock mass and the analysis undertaken, provides, among other things, the possibility of selecting an appropriate fracture criterion (Hoek-Brown, Mohr Coulomb, Drucker Prager i Cam-Clay). Numerical analysis of this paper were made, showed that the application of shotcrete and anchors contributes to increase the strength factor, and therefore the reduction in radius plasticized zone in rock mass around the tunnel opening. This fact is non negligible, especially when it comes to stabilization of the rock masses of poorer quality, because in thi sway allows the controlled deformation of rock masses.
