 Summary:
Within the Construction Design of the Niš–Priština Highway, from the loop road "Merošina" to the settlement Pločnik, among other structures, the construction of the Vršnik Tunnel is also envisaged. The designed tunnel has a total length of 265 m (from km 19+510 to km 19+775) and will be constructed through a rock mass composed mainly of fine-grained gneisses, which belong to the lower complex of crystalline shales. The paper presents and analyses the results of testing the dynamic properties of the rock complexes using geophysical methods, as well as geotechnical classification and categorisation of the rock mass.
