 Summary:
 The previous studies in the field of elasticity and elasto-plasticity did not take into account the influence of time and changes caused by longer time -dependent effects, only the final stress states were considered. However, observations and measurements during construction, taking into account construction technology, confirmed that this phenomenon is indeed happening. With the development of computers and software, the possibility of analyzing the impact of the rheological properties of rock mass (the influence of time) during the technological process by the construction stages is enabled. This work has the task of showing a relationship between the rheological properties of the rock mass and the technology of tunnel construction, as well as their interdependence, based on the results of the most recent researches conducted in this field.
