 Summary:
 Structural robustness represents the properties of a structural system to resist the progressive collapse i.e. to prevent the chain collapse of the structure, in the case of local failure of vital elements, by establishing the redistribution of effects and by enabling the formation of alternative load paths. Most often, in case of loss of one of the vertical element, the structure is subjected to large deformations, which makes the application of non-linear analysis necessary to study the behaviour of the structure until the formation of mechanisms or progressive collapse.
