 Summary:
 Energy is, according to its nature, the cause and trigger of many changes. Adequately used, it is a very important factor in the rise of man and his progress. Today, there is a worldwide trend in the growth of the implementation of renewable energy, especially the sun light. The aim of this paper is to explore the role of geodesy in energy efficiency projects, in the example of mounted solar panels on flat roofs of one specified area. The paper focuses on the positioning of that panels and the amount of energy they produce, taking into account their location, orientation, inclination, surface and sun radiation period.
