 Summary:
This paper presents a method for the experimental determination of the natural frequencies of models made of plexiglass, which have proportionally the same geometry, as well as numerical examples examined in the papers of a number of authors in order to analyze the core of tall buildings. This test offers the experimental analysis of lateral-torsional vibrations of tall buildings core supported by transverse beams and floor slabs. The results are compared with those obtained by FEM and show significant agreement.
