| | Summary: |
| | Facilities upgrating in Serbia has long tradition, but there isno much of quality
examples. Damages caused by low quality solutions are large and threatening a large number
of people and the whole ambient. The most common causes of bad solutions are: not knowing
architecture language of existing building, contempt of styles from history of architecture, lack
of designing knowledge, lack of handicraft skills, etc. It is necessary to find positive practices
from the past and through them renew necessary knowledge. Especially rare are success
stories of of historical stylesarchitecture buildings due to complexity of language used by the
architect. One of the good examples is an upgrade of the Uzice high school building performed
in 1925. |
