| | Constant need for strenghtening and repair of existing masonary structures
has led to the develpment of many methods and techniques for the improvement of the resistance of these structures. Good knowladge of the materials, structures and the state of damege of masonary structures is necessary before starting the process of reparation. Use of inappropriate techniques can lead to errors, that can even cause collapse of the structure. This paper presents mistakes that are most common in masonary buildings repair and retrofitting. |
