 Summary:
At the present-day hotel, the function of a hotel room is more complex than ever, and its basic characteristics are changing under influence оf mаrkеt, technological advances and new, more complex hotel clients demands. On the other hand, as the consequence of the global economic crisis, construction optimization is one of the most important invеstmеnt criteria, and therefore maximal spatial rationalization is favored. In this paper, current and growing trends in hotel rooms’ design are presented and their layout is analyzed, with emphasis on the spatial/functional organization, and the treatment of its interior arrangement. The aim of the paper is to recommend the best practical framework for hotel room design, having in mind contemporary demands and clients needs.
