| Summary: |
| A design on a seismically resistant construction involves the usage of design
procedures that provide a sufficient insight into the size of all seismic requirements -stiffness, load capacity, ductility and energy dissipation. Seismic Analysis of Structures,
which introduces the design capacity and ductility, can be carried out only by applying
nonlinear methods. The paper presents the results of the analysis on a multi-storey
reinforced concrete building that is dimensioned according to the EN 1992-1-1, for a
class of high ductility (EN 1998-1). The evaluation of behavior for a given seismic action
is carried out by a conventional nonlinear static ("pushover") analysis. The material
nonlinearity is covered by the fiber model. |
