    Project title: Cooperation in Education: Environmental-Hydraulics Field Training Reach on the Danube River (DANUBE-EHT-2010)
    Project summary: This project aims to forge close cooperation between partners (EJF and GFS) in the area of education for environmental hydraulics and water resources students and teachers. Partners propose to establish common environmental-hydraulics field training reach on the Danube River in the border area between Hungary and Serbia, located between the most upstream station Bezdan (river kilometer 1425.500) in Serbia, and the most downstream station Mohach (river kilometer 1447.000) in Hungary. The training reach will serve to introduce multidisciplinary team-work approach, through latest advancements in field data collection techniques, processing and analysis of flow and sediment data, data on temperature, dissolved oxygen, and selected chemical-biological constituents, as well as state-of-the-art 1-, 2-, and 3-D mathematical modeling techniques for flow and transport process in natural waters. The selected Danube River reach will be kept as continuous common training and research center for both EJF and GFS teachers and students.

    1. PALIC LAKE - The Palic Lake Project is part of the national project Monitoring and Modeling of Rivers and Reservoirs (MORE) - Physical, Chemical, Biological and Morphodynamic Parameters (Project No. 37009), financed by the Ministry of Science and Technological Development, Republic of Serbia. City of Subotica is participant of the project, providing data regarding water quality.
