The Faculty of Civil Engineering was founded on 22 April 1974. Today it is a modern educational and research institution, where the teaching process is conducted in Serbian and partly in Hungarian language, both on undergraduate and postgraduate level of studies. The Faculty has successfully developed cooperation with other faculties in the country and abroad, research institutes and civil engineering companies. The first students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering designed the building in their diploma works together with their professors. It has well-equipped classrooms, amphitheaters, laboratories, computer classrooms, internet cafes, restaurants and a library with several thousand books and scientific journals. By 2005, 798 students completed the undergraduate programme, 6 students attained Master’s degrees and 5 candidates were awarded with the academic title of Ph.D.
